We are currently looking for reliable and experienced Van Driver to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with leading companies in the transport sector and gain valuable experience. As a Van Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining safety standards, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Multi-drop deliveries: You will be responsible for completing multiple deliveries (expect 20 to 35 drops) in a timely manner, ensuring that goods reach their destinations promptly and safely.
- Deliveries & collections: Make scheduled and on-request deliveries and collections, ensuring all items are accounted for and handled carefully.
- Transport goods securely: Ensure all goods are transported securely and safely, adhering to the proper protocols for loading and unloading.
- Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Manual handling: Be prepared for manual labor, including heavy lifting during deliveries.
- Traffic laws & safety: Adhere to all traffic regulations, road safety laws, and company policies while on the road.
- Effective communication: Regularly communicate with the logistics team and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations.
- Customer service: Provide excellent customer service at all times, ensuring a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with clients.
Requirements:
- Valid B category / Van Driver and clean driving record (no DR, IN endorsements).
- No more than 6 points.
- Proven experience in a similar role desired.
- Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
