REC Source is currently recruiting reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for a long-standing logistics client based in Dartford. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for regular weekday and weekend work in a supportive and professional transport environment. The role involves multi-drop deliveries to commercial locations using curtain-sided or box vehicles. Some handball may be required, and drivers are expected to carry out daily vehicle checks, deliver with care, and ensure high levels of customer service throughout their shift. On some jobs that require handballing you will be assigned a driver's mate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries to shops, warehouses, and distribution points
- Load and secure goods when necessary
- Perform daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects
- Complete all delivery documentation and tacho entries correctly
- Ensure safe, compliant driving at all times
- Represent the client professionally at every delivery point
Requirements:
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 Driver (Category C) licence with no more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1 year of recent HGV Class 2 driver - driving experience
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Good understanding of UK road safety regulations and driver compliance
- Strong communication and timekeeping skills
