We are currently seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Double Decker Drivers for a full-time, ongoing position. This role involves depot-to-depot trunking work, focusing on safe and efficient transportation of goods using double-decker trailers. Drivers in this role typically handle 1-2 drops per day, swapping trailers at various depots across the network.
Key Responsibilities:
- This role involves trunking work, primarily depot-to-depot deliveries with double-decker trailers.
- 1-2 drops per shift.
- Trailer swaps between depots.
- Start times between 12:00 - 21:00 (must be flexible).
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in compliance with legal and company regulations.
- Complete deliveries and collections as scheduled.
- Ensure all goods are transported safely and securely.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Must download your tacho with the company, showing at least 1 year of HGV1 driving history with no gaps longer than 1 month.
- Flexible start times between 12:00 - 21:00.
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean record (Max 6 points; no DR, DD, DG, CD, BD codes).
- Valid CPC and Tacho Card.
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience (no employment gaps exceeding 1 month in the past year).
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as required.
