Employment Type: Temp ongoing Job Description: We are currently seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver Double Decker for a full-time, ongoing position.

This role involves depot-to-depot trunking work, focusing on safe and efficient transportation of goods using double-decker trailers.

Drivers in this role typically handle 1-2 drops per day, swapping trailers at various depots across the network.

Key Responsibilities

  • This role involves trunking work, primarily depot-to-depot deliveries with double-decker trailers.
  • 1-2 drops per shift.
  • Trailer swaps between depots.
  • Start times between 12:00 - 21:00 (must be flexible).
  • Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in compliance with legal and company regulations.
  • Complete deliveries and collections as scheduled.
  • Ensure all goods are transported safely and securely.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Must download your tacho with the company, showing at least 1 year of HGV Class 1 driver, driving history with no gaps longer than 1 month.
  • Flexible start times between 12:00 - 21:00.
  • Valid HGV Class 1 driver licence with a clean record (Max 6 points; no DR, DD, DG, CD, BD codes).
  • Valid CPC and Tacho Card.
  • Minimum 1 year of proven experience (no employment gaps exceeding 1 month in the past year).
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as required.
