Job Title:HGV Class 1 DriverLocation:Castle Donington, DerbyBasic Salary :£20.00 per hourEmployment Type :Temp Ongoing We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 driver (s)for a palletised goods transport company based in Castle Donington, Derby. The role involves multi-drop pallet deliveries using curtain-side or box trailers, with pump trolleys provided for manual unloading where required. Some deliveries may also be forklift-assisted. The operation runs seven days a week, and flexibility with shift availability is desirable. All drivers are guaranteed a minimum of 8 paid hours per shift, regardless of completion time. Conduct daily vehicle checks before and after each shift, reporting any faults immediately Ensure all loads are securely fastened and compliant with transport safety standards Accurately follow scheduled delivery routes and timeframes Operate a pump truck safely when manual unloading is required Deliver excellent service while representing our brand professionally on the road and at client sites Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1 driver) licence, held for at least 12 months Proven experience of at least 1 year in Class 1 multi-drop driving A valid Driver CPC card and digital tachograph card, both issued in the UK Confident in handling palletised goods using a pump truck or supporting forklift-assisted deliveries Benefits : - Competitive hourly rate. - Opportunity for continuous ongoing work - Weekly pay.
