I’m working with a well-backed education recruitment business that’s grown steadily over the last few years and is now in a strong position across multiple regions in the UK. They’ve got established offices, consistent billing teams and a leadership group that have come through the industry themselves, so the focus is very much on performance, output and doing things properly.
What stands out is how they’ve built the business; they’ve prioritised long-term school partnerships over quick wins, which means repeat business, better relationships and more stability on desks. They’re not over-reliant on one area either, there’s a good spread across SEND, Secondary and Primary, so desks aren’t as exposed to market dips as you might see elsewhere.
The role involves hiring into a warm desk with existing relationships, live roles and repeat clients already in place. You’ll be expected to pick that up quickly, get moving and build on top of it, rather than starting from scratch. It’s a 360 role, where you’ll be speaking to schools and candidates daily, managing your own pipeline and driving your own billings. You’ll have the choice to focus on SEND, Secondary or Primary depending on your experience and where you know you can perform best. It’s a role for someone who understands the market and wants a better platform to operate on.
What you’ll be doing:
- Running a warm desk with active clients and live roles
- Building relationships with schools, trusts and candidates
- Managing the full process from BD through to placement
- Keeping activity levels consistent and pipeline moving
- Growing your desk beyond what’s already there
What they’re looking for:
- Experience in education recruitment, SEND, Secondary or Primary
- Someone comfortable running a desk and owning performance
- Confident communicator who can build relationships quickly
- Organised, consistent and commercially minded
- Motivated by earning and progression
What’s on offer:
- £35k–£45k basic depending on experience, above market for the right person
- Commission up to 40%
- Realistic OTE £80k+
- Warm desk with genuine billing opportunity from day one
- Fully remote with access to offices across the UK
- 37 days annual leave
- Structured training and ongoing support
- Clear progression backed by experienced leadership
