We are working with a rapidly growing logistics provider specialising in cross-border eCommerce solutions. They are looking to hire a Business Development Manager with a strong track record in international logistics, fulfilment, and eCommerce operations. This is a fully remote, UK-based role ideal for a self-starter with in-depth industry knowledge and a passion for helping online retailers expand globally. Only applicants with experience in cross-border eCommerce logistics will be considered.
The Role
You will be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities in the cross-border eCommerce space. This includes self-sourcing leads, managing a healthy pipeline, and presenting tailored logistics solutions to senior decision-makers at eCommerce brands and online retailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and win new cross-border logistics clients in the eCommerce sector
- Generate your own leads and qualify prospects based on fit and potential
- Present complex logistics solutions using a consultative sales approach
- Negotiate commercial agreements and support the onboarding process
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction
- Accurately manage all pipeline activity using CRM software (Freshsales)
Requirements
- Direct experience in cross-border eCommerce logistics (essential)
- Understanding of international fulfilment, customs, shipping, and last-mile delivery
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders in eCommerce brands
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working remotely
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM tools
Performance Expectations
- New Business Revenue: £1.5m per annum
- Selling Days: 4 per week (1 admin day)
- Client Meetings: 10 per week (min. 50% face-to-face)
- Self-Sourced Leads: 5 per week
- CRM & Reporting: Weekly updates and accurate data entry
