Job Description

Die Cutter

Job type:

Permanent, Full time – 40 hours a week

Working days are Monday -Friday consisting of 8 hour shifts.

Location Team Valley Industrial Estate

Duties & Responsibilities of a Die cutter:

  • Achieve daily production plan
  • Comply with company processes and procedures
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping
  • Passing of own work
  • Work with a flexible approach and when required assist with other departments in the factory
  • Comply with the company health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Job description:

  • Proficient in the use of die cutting machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Familiarity with different types of paper/board materials and their properties
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
  • Physical dexterity and ability to lift heavy objects
  • Perform make ready and set up processes efficiently
  • Properly store and care for dies for re runs of jobs
  • Operate and troubleshoot die cutting machines such as platens, Heidelberg to maintain quality and productivity standards eg cutting, creasing and stripping

Experience required:

  • Previous work of die cutting
  • Good problem-solving skills, whilst working under pressure
  • Experience in the print finishing trade
