Are you an experienced welder/fabricator who thrives on guiding others and sharing knowledge? We’re looking for a Foreman who not only leads our teams but also acts as a mentor—developing skills, fostering growth, and inspiring excellence—while ensuring high standards of workmanship and timely project delivery.
The Company NW Total Engineered Solutions Ltd. is a specialist manufacturing and engineering company focused on delivering high-quality process equipment packages. Our facility is equipped with a broad range of core capabilities, enabling us to manufacture and rigorously test a diverse array of equipment. We have particular expertise in pipe welding and mechanical fitting, which are central to the projects we undertake. Additionally, we offer in-house Level 2 weld inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability across all our work.
Location: NW Total Engineered Solutions, LA14 2UE
Hours of Work: 40 hours, Mon-Thurs, 7am – 5.30pm
Salary: £40-45K per annum
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage a team of welders, fabricators, and fitters for in-house manufacturing and site works.
- Allocate jobs based on skillset and project requirements.
- Inspect dimensions, weld fit-ups, and finished products to ensure quality.
- Provide progress updates and feedback to the Production Manager.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication and installation issues.
- Maintain 5S standards for an organised and efficient workplace.
- Train and develop team members, including apprentices.
- Conduct development reviews and manage performance and absence.
- Participate in project meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Proven experience in welding and fabrication with strong technical expertise.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience leading teams in a workshop and on-site environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
