They support a wide range of projects from residential builds to major commercial, civil, and industrial developments delivering safe, efficient, and practical engineering designs. As we continue to grow, they are seeking a motivated Graduate Engineer to join their expanding team.
Role Overview
The Graduate Engineer will work closely with senior members of the engineering team to support the delivery of scaffold and temporary works designs. This role is ideal for recent engineering graduates looking to build strong technical foundations, gain real project experience, and develop their career within a specialist and supportive engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing temporary works and scaffolding designs under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Produce accurate technical drawings using AutoCAD and other design tools.
- Support the preparation of design calculations, risk assessments, and technical documents.
- Carry out basic site visits to gather information, carry out measurements, and support design verification.
- Communicate with internal teams and clients to help clarify design requirements and project constraints.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, including TG20, BS5975, and CDM regulations (training provided).
- Take part in internal training and professional development to support progression toward higher engineering roles.
- Contribute positively to the team environment and assist with general engineering and project tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in scaffolding design, temporary works, or structural engineering.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software (training provided).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and develop professionally.
- A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to different project requirements.
