The Role
As AV Rental Sales Executive, you'll be responsible for generating and converting new business, while building strong relationships with existing clients. You'll get under the skin of each customer's event requirements, from audio and staging to lighting and hybrid streaming solutions — and work closely with technical, warehouse and operations teams to make sure every rental is quoted accurately and delivered seamlessly. You'll be the key point of contact throughout the sales journey, from first enquiry through to post-event follow-up, with genuine scope to grow accounts through upselling and repeat business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Generating new business through outbound activity, networking, referrals and industry events
- Responding to and converting inbound sales enquiries
- Building and managing an active sales pipeline
- Preparing accurate quotations for equipment hire, delivery and installation
- Developing existing accounts and identifying repeat business opportunities
- Working closely with technical and operations teams to ensure smooth handover and delivery
- Keeping on top of the latest AV equipment and event technology trends
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a sales, business development, account management or customer-facing role
- A track record of working towards sales targets or commercial objectives
- Experience within AV, events, equipment hire or a related industry is a bonus, but not essential. A genuine interest in AV and technology, and a willingness to learn, counts for a lot
- Confident, personable and professional communication style
- Strong organisational skills and sharp attention to detail, particularly around quoting and specifying equipment
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
What's on Offer
- £33,000 - £40,000 basic salary (DOE), plus commission/bonus — OTE up to £60,000
- Company laptop and mobile phone
- Mileage reimbursement
- Company pension scheme (after 3 months)
- 24/7 GP access and Employee Assistance Programme
- Health Cash Plan
- 25 days holiday plus your birthday off
- Flexible working arrangements where applicable
