RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a development agency to assist in their search for a Deep Tech Accelerator Lead to provide strategic and operational leadership in Hawick. Are you a commercially minded leader with experience to turn robotics, automation or deep tech innovation into practical business growth and scale up? Can you bring together businesses, universities, investors and partners to accelerate technology adoption and support regional growth?

What Youll Do Day-to-Day

  • You will develop and lead the delivery of the Deep Tech Roadmap.
  • Establish a commercially sustainable accelerator model.
  • Support businesses to adopt robotics, automation and other innovative technologies.
  • Work closely with universities, investors, industry and national partners to help translate research and innovation into practical, scalable business opportunities that improve productivity and growth.

The Skills, Experience and Personal Attributes Youll Need to Have

  • You are a confident, collaborative leader with strong relationship management, influencing and commercial skills.
  • Experience in robotics, automation, manufacturing or technology adoption.
  • Comfortable working with SMEs and senior stakeholders.
  • Able to diagnose business challenges, design practical adoption pathways, and deliver programmes that deliver measurable impact.
  • Hands-on, innovative, delivery focused and motivated by the opportunity to strengthen the innovation ecosystem.
