RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a manufacturing business, who are looking for a Customer Services Assistant to join their team in Birkhill, Lesmahagow. Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service and building strong relationships?
About the Role
As part of our Customer Services Department, you'll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive high-quality products and services, on time and in full. You'll act as a first point of contact for customers, handling orders, enquiries, and service updates, while supporting colleagues across Sales, Transport, Production, and Operations. This is a fast-paced role where you'll be responsible for providing accurate information, solving problems efficiently, and ensuring our customers always feel valued. You'll report to the Group Customer Services Manager, working Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm (40 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities
- Taking and processing orders via phone, email, or app.
- Responding promptly and professionally to customer enquiries.
- Keeping customers informed of any changes or delays and managing orders through to completion.
- Managing pre-emption and standing orders for a portfolio of customers.
- Running reports and taking action where required.
- Arranging veterinary prescriptions for medicated feed in line with legal requirements.
- Reporting transport or service failures.
- Supporting departmental KPI targets and objectives.
- Maintaining clear communication with both internal teams and external partners.
- Ensuring adequate cover during holidays or absence.
- Adhering to Health & Safety and company procedures.
