RECRUITMENTiQ is working alongside a client to assist in their search for an Income Management Accountant to provide key support to the finance team with budgeting and reporting modelling, data management and consolidation, preparing periodic management accounts, and assisting the Finance Insights Manager with any ad hoc requests or project work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with Finance Business Partners to model all income streams across the business, identifying risks, opportunities and dependencies.
- Liaising with the Passenger Accounts and Financial Accounting team to reconcile revenue streams with Commercial reporting.
- Complete periodic management accounting duties for income areas that span across multiple directorates in business.
- Tasks required include reviewing income accruals, billing schedules and supporting across the FPA team in providing periodic reporting and variance analysis.
- Run period end reporting figures, daily, throughout the reporting week with actuals and variances by department.
- Link effectively with the Financial Accounting function to ensure the source information used for financial business partnering is robust and based on accurate and timely information and to enhance BI information.
- Support the maintain the financial planning system (Cognos IBM Planning & Analytics) and provide support across all the finance function and develop as a nominated superuser.
- Provide training on finance systems to the FPA team.
- Assist the Finance Insight Manager, or the Finance Director, with any ad hoc requests or project work.
- Any other duties reasonably requested which are commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post.
What you bring:
- Essential Experience of financial modelling and reporting systems such as Cognos.
- Experience in preparation of accruals and journals.
- Experience of preparing periodic reports and variances.
- Experience with financial accounting software (SAP/Open Accounts).
- Qualified or part qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA or equivalent).
- Excellent excel and financial modelling skills.
- Desirable PowerBI or equivalent experience.
- Experience of working with Commercial teams.
This role works Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, and is based in Glasgow.
