RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a growing, client-focused accountancy practice dedicated to delivering high-quality accounts, tax and advisory services. We pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with our clients and supporting our team to develop their careers in a collaborative, professional environment. We’re expanding our Glasgow branch and need an experienced ACCA-qualified Practice Accountant who can hit the ground running. This is a portfolio-owning role where you’ll deliver end-to-end compliance work with minimal supervision taking clients from trial balance through to signed accounts and filed returns, quickly and accurately. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare year-end and statutory accounts (limited companies, sole traders, partnerships) under UK GAAP
- Produce management accounts, cashflow insights and KPI packs to support client decision-making
- Prepare and e-file corporation tax returns (CT600 with iXBRL), VAT (Making Tax Digital compliant) and self-assessment returns
- Use Xero daily for bookkeeping, reconciliations, workpaper reviews and Xero Tax submissions
- Manage client queries professionally and ensure all deadlines (HMRC / Companies House) are met
- Review and support junior team members whilst helping them develop their skills
