Directly responsible for a Hygiene shift, effectively and efficiently managing the resources at your disposal, to ensure best use of people, plant, and materials, and that the area under your control achieves the targets set, managing your Hygiene managers and supervisors.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Quality
- Ensuring working areas, process and documentation are working to the relevant audit compliance levels.
- Capturing product efficiencies and product traceability, instant challenge if processes not adhered to.
- Carry out regular hygiene inspections to ensure personnel are reaching the required level of cleanliness.
- Where swab failures have been identified ensure these are targeted and investigated with corrective actions in place to eradicate the issue with a robust plan to ensure no continuation of failures.
- Waste Reduction
- To ensure the night waste is placed in the required and designated areas for daily monitoring.
- Ensure empty chemical drums are washed out end of shift and stored in the correct location for collection.
- Continuous Improvement
- Carry out team level discussion on a weekly basis to ensure the team is up to date with factory performance and compliance.
- Look for open avenues of improvements within the factory to assist in growing the effectiveness of the Hygiene function.
- Other
- Liaise with Production end of shift and start of shift to carry out effective handovers and understand pre & post Hygiene issues.
- Manage the walk away standards within the area and communicate with production to gain improvements on standards within the area.
- Communicate regularly to the Site Hygiene Manager to ensure all issues are reported and highlighted when needed.
YOU
- Good standard of spoken & written English which will allow written instructions to be read & effectively communicated.
- Ability to influence and motivate a team with a continuous improvement culture.
- Ability to confront issues, opportunities, and others with logic with all levels of the business.
- Methodically accomplishes tasks and goals.
- IT skills β Excel/power point.
- Motivated by a concern for strategically achieving results.
- A high level of flexibility is required and ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience of Hygiene Supervision / Management.
- H&S Qualification IOSH.
- Fundamental understanding of COSHH.
- Food safety level three or above.
- Health and Safety level three or above.
