Overview
We are currently looking for a reliable and hands-on Assembly Operative to support our client during a particularly busy period. This is a 12-month contract due to increased workload.
The Role
You will be working as part of a small team building bespoke conveyor systems from drawings. The work will involve mechanical assembly, use of basic tools, and following clear instructions from senior engineers. This would suit someone with mechanical assembly experience, a mechanical fitter, or someone from an assembly line or manufacturing background who is confident working with tools and following drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the mechanical assembly of conveyor systems
- Work from engineering drawings and instructions
- Use hand tools and basic mechanical skills to complete assembly tasks
- Support engineers during the build process
- Work efficiently to meet project deadlines
- Maintain a clean and safe working area
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or mechanical fitting
- Ability to use hand tools confidently
- Experience working from drawings would be an advantage
- A reliable and practical person with a good work ethic
- Ideally based locally to Wellington
