Part Time Minibus Driver Job Title: Minibus Driver Reports to: Bursar / Senior Management Contract: Term-Time Only Hours: Monday-Friday The Role Our client is looking for a responsible, friendly and reliable Minibus Driver to provide a professional and safe transport service for pupils. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily transportation of pupils to and from school, ensuring their safety and wellbeing throughout each journey. Hours of Work Monday-Friday: 6:30am-8:30am and 3:55pm-6:00pm Tuesday afternoon: 4:55pm-7:00pm 34 weeks per year, term time only Annual leave is taken during school holiday periods. Job share will be considered, with days to be agreed. Salary £13,695 per annum, including 5.6 weeks' pro-rata holiday pay, based on an hourly rate of £16.54. Key Responsibilities Safely transport pupils to and from school as required. Carry out daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks before departure. Use the designated transport app to record pupils boarding and leaving the vehicle. Maintain good order and appropriate behaviour on the vehicle. Report any vehicle defects or concerns promptly. Follow all relevant minibus and transport procedures. Ensure all journeys are carried out in accordance with current Health & Safety and safeguarding requirements. Maintain confidentiality regarding pupils and other sensitive information. Undertake any other reasonable driving duties as required. Essential Requirements Current clean UK driving licence with D1 or D entitlement. Aged 21 or over. Full UK driving licence held for at least two years. Previous minibus driving experience is desirable. MiDAS training or equivalent is desirable; training can be provided where required. New drivers will be required to complete vehicle familiarisation and an assessment drive. Reliable, punctual and professional. Friendly and approachable manner. Comfortable working with children and young people. Safeguarding The successful applicant must be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. An Enhanced DBS check will be required, along with appropriate safeguarding checks, checks with previous employers and a checkable work history.
