The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting five Bottling Operatives to support a busy bottling project at a well-established vineyard near Hailsham.
Working as part of a small, dedicated team, you will assist with the bottling, packaging and handling of wine products, helping to ensure production targets are met safely and efficiently.
This is a physically demanding, fast-paced role that would suit individuals who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in doing a job well, and work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading empty bottles onto the bottling line
- Packing finished bottles into storage cages
- Assisting with the operation of bottling equipment under supervision
- Monitoring product quality throughout the bottling process
- Ensuring bottles are filled, sealed and labelled correctly
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
- Following all health and safety, hygiene and quality procedures
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain productivity and efficiency
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience within manufacturing, production, warehouse or bottling environments (preferred but not essential)
- The ability to follow instructions and work safely around machinery
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- A strong work ethic and reliable approach to work
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Physical fitness, including the ability to lift, carry and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Must be happy with repetitive movements

Full availability for the duration of the assignment is essential. Reliability and punctuality are critical, as the project relies on a small team working together throughout the bottling process. The role is based outdoors under covered working areas, so applicants must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions. Breaks are provided throughout the day and may vary slightly depending on production requirements.
