The Role
As a Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant, you will provide high-quality secretarial, administrative and client support to the firm's solicitors and wider legal team.
Your responsibilities will include
- Providing comprehensive legal secretarial and administrative support to solicitors
- Preparing, formatting and amending legal correspondence and documentation
- Managing telephone calls, emails and client enquiries professionally
- Diary management and arranging appointments, meetings and conferences
- Opening, maintaining and closing client files
- Preparing documents and assisting with general file administration
- Audio typing and document production
- Liaising with clients, colleagues, courts and other external contacts
- Assisting with the preparation of correspondence and legal documentation
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring files are kept up to date
- Providing general administrative support to the department
- Supporting solicitors with the smooth running of their caseloads
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or Legal Administrator within a law firm.
