A highly regarded and growing Chartered Accountancy Practice near Tunbridge Wells is looking to appoint a NEW Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice professional seeking the next step up the ladder within a friendly, welcoming and forward-thinking firm.
Created as a result of continued business growth, this newly established position offers clear progression opportunities, including a potential route to Senior Manager for the right individual. A tailored training and development plan will be provided based on the successful candidate's experience and career goals.
You will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses and individual clients whilst supporting and developing junior members of the team. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines client relationship management, technical review work and team leadership responsibilities.
Salary is competitive and dependent on experience/qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.
Duties:
- Manage a varied portfolio of clients
- Review and oversee the preparation of statutory year-end accounts
- Review corporation tax returns and provide corporation tax advice where appropriate
- Review personal tax returns for a range of individuals and directors
- Review VAT returns and ensure compliance requirements are met
- Review bookkeeping work completed for owner-managed businesses
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong working relationships
- Support, mentor and review the work of junior and semi-senior team members
- Identify opportunities to add value and provide proactive advice to clients
What we're looking for:
A successful candidate for this role will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ATT and/or CTA) and possess a minimum of 5 years' experience within UK Accountancy Practice. You must live within a 45 minute commute of Tunbridge Wells.
