Job Description Food Production Operative – 4 day week - Nights Pontypool Perm after 12 weeks 12hr Nights Mon - Thurs 6pm-6am £14.74 per hour
Reporting to: Production Line Coordinator / Production Shift Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Promote safety in the workplace and comply with legislation, identify risk areas to management for resolution.
- Line optimization and line startups.
- Adherence to quality control checks and measures, including raising Non-Conformances to your supervisor.
- Be an expert of at least two key skills in production and be able to train others.
- Assist in any production Key Operative/Operative duties as requested.
- Co-operate in one’s own personal training and development program in accordance with the Company’s Training Policy and Procedure.
- Assist in the training and development of fellow team members.
- Liaise with supervisors to ensure production plan is adhered to.
- Ensure customer orders are achieved efficiently, on time and ensure the correct quantity is delivered.
- Incident management such as finding foreign bodies on the line or in a product, glass and plastic breakage and accidents, following the correct escalation process to the Line Coordinator.
- No errors or omissions in paperwork (All fields to be filled in correctly and in a timely manner).
- Work on a range of machines to produce product as required.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and housekeeping of working area and machinery.
- Responsible for the quality of the product produced.
- Assist in any cleaning duties as requested.
- Work at a sufficient rate to meet the day’s production requirements to operational specification and producing goods to the required quality standards.
- Always adhere to the factory hygiene requirements whilst carrying out duties.
- Promote and maintain the Company Equal Opportunity Policy to ensure a neutral and harmonious working environment.
- Carry out all duties in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company’s Health & Safety and Food Safety Policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and fellow team members.
- Any other duties requested by the Production Line Coordinator or any other member of Management.
- Work directly with your supervisor and ensure that Operatives are on the line at all times, covering one another for breaks and activities during breaks.
