Overview
A fantastic local company is looking to recruit a NEW experienced Payroll Administrator to join their friendly team in Tonbridge. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a professional and supportive working environment where accuracy, efficiency and a personal client service is at the heart of everything they do. Working closely with a varied portfolio of different clients, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality payroll service whilst building strong client relationships and supporting junior members of the team where needed. This role is Monday-Friday and offers the opportunity to work on a hybrid schedule after probation. Salary is dependent on experience/qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.
Duties
- Manage weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual payrolls for a varied client portfolio
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently, including Real Time Information (RTI) submissions
- Set up and administer workplace pension schemes and auto-enrolment requirements
- Manage statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP
- Prepare and process payroll documentation including P45s, P60s and student loan deductions
- Maintain accurate payroll records, tax calculations and salary adjustments
- Act as a key point of contact for payroll-related client queries
- Ensure payroll compliance with current legislation and HMRC requirements
- Build strong and professional relationships with clients
- Support and assist junior team members with payroll training and guidance
- Utilise Sage Payroll software on a daily basis
- Assist with Xero Payroll processes where applicable
What we're looking for
A successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate 3yrs+ payroll experience, ideally gained within a practice or bureau environment, but high employee volume within the commercial or industry sector can still be considerable. Strong Sage Payroll experience and knowledge of auto-enrolment pension schemes are essential.
