My client is a well-established regional law firm seeking a highly organised and adaptable Float Legal Secretary to provide support across our Private Client, Family, and Conveyancing teams. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a professional and supportive environment with modern offices and a strong benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive secretarial support to solicitors and legal executives across multiple practice areas.
- Manage the smooth flow of documents and correspondence in and out of the departments.
- Prepare legal documents from hand-written notes or digital dictation.
- Scan, email, and fax correspondence as required.
- Undertake file management, including opening, closing, and filing documents.
- Assist with the preparation of documents and bundles for hearings or client meetings.
- Answer and manage telephone calls, enquiries, and messages.
- Manage fee earners' diaries, organising internal and external meetings.
- Provide flexible support to colleagues across the firm, covering workload fluctuations or urgent business needs.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by management.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word.
- Basic knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel is desirable.
- Experience using a Practice Management System advantageous.
- Strong telephone and communication skills.
- Highly organised with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Adaptable and able to work across different teams and practice areas.
