HR Assistant - Near Covent Garden
Salary: Market Rate | Full-Time | Office-Based
A well-established and professional corporate organisation based in the heart of Central London, close to Covent Garden, is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable HR Assistant to join its busy Business Support team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in HR within a professional, supportive environment. The position is primarily administrative, working closely with the HR Officer and Head of HR, while also providing occasional support to Reception and the Post Room.
The Role
As HR Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day HR function. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining holiday and absence records
- Coordinating meetings and HR appointments
- Communicating with job applicants and arranging interviews
- Assisting with HR and payroll documentation
- Supporting the induction and onboarding of new employees
- Helping to organise internal training
- Assisting with annual appraisal and professional accreditation processes
- Supporting trainee professionals, including arranging courses and liaising with relevant professional bodies
- Providing occasional Reception and Post Room cover
This is an ideal entry-level HR opportunity with genuine scope for professional development and progression.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who is organised, personable and professional, with excellent attention to detail and a mature approach to handling confidential information.
Previous HR or administrative experience would be advantageous, although this is not essential. You will need:
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Professionalism, discretion and reliability
- A flexible and proactive approach
- Confidence communicating with colleagues and external contacts
- The ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
Previous experience within a professional services or corporate environment would be beneficial.
Working Hours & Location
This is a full-time, fully office-based position, working 10:00amβ6:00pm, with the final hour dedicated to Reception cover.
The office is conveniently located in Central London, near Covent Garden, making it particularly well suited to candidates who live locally or have an easy commute into the area.
