Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance & Engineering Technician

Fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing food manufacturer, supporting the operation of a busy manufacturing facility in Erith. You'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently, safely and reliably, working across production machinery, refrigeration systems, utilities and factory facilities.
This is a hands-on role where you'll have real responsibility for equipment reliability, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
Daily responsibilities might range from:
- Maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing food manufacturing equipment including production lines, packaging machines, conveyors, weighing systems and processing equipment
- Supporting spiral, tunnel and blast freezers, cold rooms and refrigeration systems
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and routine equipment servicing
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and responding quickly to breakdowns
- Supporting maintenance of compressors, water systems, electrical panels, lighting and wider factory infrastructure
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Identifying opportunities to reduce equipment failures and production downtime
- Supporting equipment installation and commissioning
- Working closely with production to improve equipment reliability and performance
- Ensuring maintenance activities comply with Health & Safety, BRCGS and HACCP standards

For success with this application, you'll need at least 5 years' maintenance engineering experience, strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills and manufacturing experience. Experience within food, FMCG, packaging, pharmaceutical, logistics or other automated manufacturing environments would be highly relevant. Refrigeration, F-Gas, 18th Edition or PLC experience would be highly advantageous.
£45,000 - £50,000 per annum + overtime
