A modern and growing Chartered Accountants is seeking a NEW Trainee Accountant to join their Brighton office, starting within the Personal Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to build a career in tax while working closely with experienced managers and senior colleagues. You will gain hands-on exposure across the full personal tax function while studying towards a formal qualification. The firm offers a supportive, inclusive environment with strong training and clear long-term development opportunities. Salary is dependent on experience/qualifications.
Duties:
- Assist in the preparation of personal tax returns and support P11D preparation and Making Tax Digital processes.
- Manage a personal tax portfolio over time while developing new skills under senior mentorship.
- Support the team in achieving client service excellence and departmental growth.
- Use initiative and responsibility to produce accurate, high-quality work.
What we’re looking for:
- A successful candidate will ideally have strong relevant studies. You will have GCSE Maths and English (grades 9–6) plus at least two A grades and one B grade (or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills, good IT capability and a proactive, can-do attitude are key.
