Overview
A highly regarded Chartered Accountancy firm in Tunbridge Wells is looking for a newly qualified ACA or ACCA professional to join their growing team as an Accounts & Audit Senior. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on responsibility, working directly with a wide range of clients across varied sectors while developing your technical and commercial expertise.
This role will be split between audit and accounts assignments (more weighted on Accounts primarily), giving you the balance to further enhance your skills. You will be part of a supportive team with clear career progression pathways and opportunities to build strong client relationships – with Private Client exposure.
This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday, with hybrid working options available.
Salary is up to £48,000 depending on experience/qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.
Duties
- Lead audits from planning through to completion, reporting directly to managers and partners
- Prepare year-end accounts for a range of clients across multiple industries
- Supervise and support junior staff, providing guidance and reviewing their work
- Work closely with clients to provide high-quality service and develop lasting relationships
- Assist with business advisory and planning work where required
- Liaise with partners on technical matters and present solutions to client queries
What we're looking for
A successful candidate for this role will be a recently qualified ACA or ACCA professional with strong UK practice experience. You should have prior involvement in both audit and accounts preparation and be confident managing your own workload while mentoring junior staff. Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach are essential.
