As a QA Technician, the role involves ensuring product and process compliance through rigorous production testing and meticulous documentation. This hands-on role is responsible for planning and executing laboratory and R&D trials, supporting continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, and ensuring accurate testing, documentation and reporting.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Conducting in-line and final product lab tests to verify adherence to quality standards – provide cover to the primary person responsible for lab testing
- Maintain and improve any product safety standards as required by GMP and BRC requirements.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will support complaint investigations and customer queries through analytical retain testing and thorough reporting.
- Maintaining accurate and traceable records for audits
- Managing document and change control processes
- Supporting NPI by preparing relevant documentation and generating part numbers
- Supporting First Article Inspection (FAI) processes (New Product Introduction)
- Overseeing the quarantine stock system to prevent non-conforming product release.
- Preparing and issuing Certificate of Analysis (CoAs)
- Contributing to Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) investigations
- Coordinating any RMA activity.
- Compiling cost-of-quality reports
- Managing equipment calibration and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to uphold test accuracy and reliability
- Ensuring continuous compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards
- Implementing and monitoring Statistical Process Control (SPC) to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g. Science, quality, production engineering) or equivalent quality/manufacturing experience within a regulated industry.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to analyse data and produce technical reports. Good knowledge of MS Office programs
- Experience in QA/QC or lab coordination within a manufacturing or packaging environment preferred.
- Experience of GMP or similarly regulated industry preferably BRC or food certified.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards preferred e.g. ISO14001, ISO9001
