QA TECHNICIAN NEW INN, TORFAEN PERMANENT MON TO THURS 6AM TO 6PM £14.09 PER HOUR Job description: The Quality Assurance Technician will have and demonstrate a willingness to take responsibility for the decisions made, basic competencies in the area of quality management and develop the ability to analyse root causes and take corrective actions. They will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and improvement of procedures related to measurements, physical and chemical assessments and the coordination of related tasks. The position requires close cooperation with internal groups/working groups using direct and written communication. Key Responsibilities: * Assisting line cleaning processes and collecting data (microbiological tests) * Collection and review of current data related to the production process, including the results of sensory assessments * Assisting in the training of employees in procedures and quality instructions. * Laboratory work (baking, cutting, reporting, analysing and cleaning) * Coordination of positive release process and sensory panels. * Assistance in conducting production tests (measurements, sample storage, sensory assessment results, data, reports, SPC, capability study) * Participation in hold process for affected product. * Calibrate equipment to understand and document the most cost-effective ways to use the quality tools (farinograph, moisture analyzer, c-cell, temperature probes, fridges etc.) necessary for inspections * The work requires the ability to recognise colours. * Work involves the risk of contact with potential allergens. Skills and Experiences: * Secondary Level education (GCSE level or equivalent) * Knowledge of MS office system (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) * Knowledge of basic mathematical functions * Practical problem-solving skills * Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Principles, food safety and cleaning processes. * Documented previous work experience * Understand the manufacturing process. * Be able to prioritise their time and workload.
