Main Purpose of Role
To accurately receive and process all materials onto the Business Management System.
Outcomes of Role
- To receive components ensuring 100% accuracy of part number, quantity and purchase order while booking onto the Axiom Business Management System.
- Ensure that all material for that day is booked onto the data management system within 24hr of material receipt area to aspire to the highest levels of housekeeping and visual control.
Responsibilities
- Off load vehicles efficiently whilst adhering to health and safety standards and company procedures.
- Decant items from cartons / pallets in order to check the condition and specified quantities of the goods delivered.
- Ensure correct documentation is received with the goods in order to process the delivery into relevant computer systems.
- Correctly label each item as per company procedures, to allow efficient storage (GRN and RoHS labels).
- Communicate effectively with the procurement / Incoming Material Control department regarding any delivery discrepancies.
- Ensure correct allocation to stock location whilst updating stock cards and checking sample sheets when required to help book away items.
- Ensure housekeeping requirements are adhered to.
- Ensure that all company operating values and compliance procedures are adhered to at all times, including quality management, health and safety, legal stipulation, environmental policies and general duty of care.
- Any other duties deemed necessary.
Person Specification
ESSENTIAL
- Previous stores / warehouse experience, particularly in goods inward.
- Appropriate manual handling skills.
- Good level of numeracy / written skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Able to use computers to an intermediate standard.
DESIRABLE
- Counterbalance Fork Truck License.
The salary is competitive plus pension, DIS 6x salary and cash plan healthcare. Mon to Thurs 8 - 5, Fri 8 - 1.
