We are looking for a reliable and organised Stores & Material Supply Operative to support the day-to-day running at our clients production facility. The role involves receiving deliveries, organising stock, supplying production areas with materials, and operating material handling equipment safely and efficiently. A valid Combi Lift licence is required for this role.

Working Hours & Pay Rates

  • From £13.73 per hour
  • Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 15:00
  • Friday: 06:00 - 12:30
  • 40 hours per week + overtime

Overtime

Overtime is a requirement of the role and is typically available during weekends and occasionally during the week to meet business needs. Overtime after 40 hours paid at 1.5x rate during weekdays and Saturdays. Sunday paid at 2x rate (when Saturday overtime has been completed).

Key Responsibilities

  • Goods In & Stock Control
    • Receive and check incoming deliveries against delivery notes
    • Safely unload materials using a multi-directional Combi lift
    • Transport materials to designated storage areas within the factory
    • Store materials safely and accurately within racking systems
    • Maintain clear and organised stock locations
  • Material Preparation & Supply
    • Break down materials into kit form for production use
    • Prepare and distribute materials to assembly areas in line with production schedules
    • Retrieve kit-formed panels and materials from racking systems
    • Load materials into Ergo movers for delivery to assembly tables
    • Support production teams by ensuring material availability throughout shifts
  • Material Handling Equipment
    • Operate a multi-directional Combi lift safely and efficiently
    • Operate counterbalance cranes where required
    • Carry out daily equipment safety checks
    • Ensure all lifting operations are completed in line with health and safety requirements
  • General Duties
    • Maintain high housekeeping standards within stores and warehouse areas
    • Record and document stock movements and deliveries accurately
    • Ensure goods-in and goods-out materials are controlled and organised in line with business requirements
    • Support the organisation of materials required for completed panels being sent to site
    • Work flexibly within a busy production and warehouse environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must hold a valid Combi Lift FLT licence
  • Previous experience within a large warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment
  • Experience moving, stacking, and organising large or heavy materials
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
