Our client, a specialist manufacturer, is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Junior Buyer / Procurement Officer to join their procurement team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong administrator with proven experience in the manufacturing sector who is looking to develop a career in purchasing and supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the procurement team in sourcing materials, components, and services in line with production requirements
  • Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
  • Maintain supplier records, pricing data, and procurement documentation
  • Monitor stock levels and liaise with production and planning teams to ensure continuity of supply
  • Track orders and deliveries, resolving any delays or discrepancies with suppliers
  • Assist in supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement procedures and quality standards
  • Generate reports on purchasing activity, spend, and supplier performance
  • Provide general administrative support to the procurement function
