Basic Salary is £62k - With the overtime people are currently earning £90-£100k. OT 1.4 the hourly rate for hours over 38 during the week and for the 1st 4 hours on a Saturday, OT 1.8 the rate for remaining hours on a Saturday and a Sunday. 11 hour shifts, 6.15am to 5.15pm - The rotation is 11 on and 3 off. ECSA Agreement – Travel or Accommodation allowance at £355.67 per week.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Objectives: The Site Supervisor will ensure assigned site and projects works are planned and delivered in line with QHSE requirements and within agreed contractual obligations and expectations with the intention to create a positive and collaborative client relationship.
Outline key responsibilities:
- Coordination and supervision of workers
- Provide scope of works and schedules for workers
- Assign tasks to construction team
- Liaise with contractors, managers and other stakeholders, ensuring that all parties remain coordinated
- Organising the equipment and manpower necessary to complete the project
- Responsible for maintaining health, safety and quality standards
- Keeping detailed records of construction site activities
Detailed QHSE responsibilities:
- Never instruct work to be carried out without first ensuring that means will be in place to guarantee that the work can be done in a safe and compliant manner.
- Be suitably familiar with the contents of this HSE Plan to be able to ensure that they are fully complied with, including but not limited to:
- Attend any HSE training, meetings, etc. as requested.
- Attend, participate in and periodically lead Toolbox Talks.
- Ensure that workers have undergone sufficient HSE training to comply with the project HSE training requirements and be able to carry out all works safely.
- Ensure that tools, equipment and materials brought into and used in the area are fully compliant with HSE requirements.
- Ensure that no work is carried out unless supported by the relevant specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Work Permits.
- Participate in Risk Assessments.
- Carry out periodic HSE inspections in the area.
- Ensure that all incidents and near misses are reported, as per procedure.
- Ensure that disciplinary matters are reported, quickly and accurately.

Qualifications
- SMSTS (Site Manager Safety Training Scheme) (essential)
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Trade (essential)
- CSCS/CCNSG Supervisor (essential)
- IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
- NVQ Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision (desirable)
- City and Guilds in Engineering (desirable)
- First Aid training (desirable)
Technical Skills
- Experience of supervising site activities and subcontractors
- Experience of managing site teams
- Knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations in particular Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
- Experience in highly regulated industries
- Experience in Nuclear would be advantageous
- Good understanding of welding and fabrication processes
Behavioural skills
- Demonstrably proactive, self-driven and assertive.
- High levels of influence and strong leadership capability.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Experience of working within multinational teams would be of benefit.
