We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring that all operations run smoothly and safely.

Mid Shift: 12pm to 9am Mon to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas.
  • Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Manage inventory using a warehouse management system, maintaining accurate records of stock levels.
  • Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in heavy lifting and materials handling as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations and timely order fulfilment.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following health and safety regulations.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as experience using a warehouse management system.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Basic maths skills for inventory management and record keeping.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
