RSW are looking to recruit an Auto Insert Engineer for a permanent role with our client, a government contract electronic manufacturing service.
Due to the nature of the business, all candidates will be subject to a Security Clearance check.
- Main Purpose of Role
- To Coordinate Technical Manpower on a daily basis, through supporting the Engineering manager to ensure that all machinery is available 100% of the time.
- To ensure that Technical support is available to meet and exceed the business requirements of its customers internally and externally, and to support the area Quality philosophy of zero defect.
- To ensure that machine maintenance plans are completed in line with production requirements.
- Attend Machine breakdowns were required.
- Support new equipment introduction.
- Ensure all work is carried out on time and in a safe and efficient way.
- Outcomes of Role
- All Machinery is well maintained and performs to its optimum whenever the production plan requires.
- Technical Staff directed to meet Daily Production and engineering requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assess and repair mechanical or electrical machine failures.
- Accurately and in a timely manner document engineering processes, parts used and discarded, repairs done, and the causes of each failure.
- Log all repair time.
- Keep engineering tools, such as manuals, safety protocols, parts, and work tools, up to date and available to staff.
- Monitor and ensure all machinery performs to its optimum.
- Preventative and Reactive maintenance.
- Working within the engineering team to identify, develop and implement improvements.
- General product quality analysis, investigation, and feedback.
- Process evaluation and improvements, tracking and monitoring changes.
- Provide support with new assets / machinery.
- Manage other engineering staff members and liaise with third-party contractors.
- Control and ordering of spare machine parts.
- Attend Technical and quality meetings.
- Update procedures as and when required.
- New product evaluation.
- Preparation of Engineering reports.
Person Specification
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Experience in SMT / Soldering / Electronics manufacturing
- Salary is £40200 plus 20% shift allowance totalling £48240
Working Hours
- Week 1 is 5.48pm until 2pm Monday to Friday
- Week 2 is 1.45pm until 12pm Monday to Thursday
Other benefits include pension, DIS 6x salary and private healthcare.
