RSW are looking for a CNC Milling Machine Programmer – Setter / Operator in the Merthyr Tydfil area.
- Must have experience in Haas and or Fanuc Control Milling Machines.
- Must Be able to Square / Clock Vices and Fixtures.
- Must be able to set part Datums using Probe / Wobble Bar etc.
- Must be able to understand tooling needed to produce required part finishes and features, load tooling and set Machine Tool Length Offsets.
- Must be able to understand G&M Code programming and make changes where necessary to achieve required part dimensions.
- Must be able to read and understand Engineering Drawings and tolerances.
- Must be able to use measuring equipment to check and maintain correct part dimensions and tolerances.
The candidate will be responsible for setting and maintaining 8 CNC Milling machines, (6 Haas control & 2 Fanuc control).
They will also manage a team of operators, provide training to the operators, carry out Quality control for the machines / operators and be responsible for the day to day running and organisation of production, operating machines themselves when and where required.
Opportunity for the right candidate to progress to setting and overseeing other areas of the workshop / production manager roles.
Rate of pay will depend on experience and amount of training required, but £18.00 – £25.00hr negotiable with increase for right person.
Working Hours are 7.00am – 4.30pm, Monday – Thursday.
2 x 15min breaks unpaid, gives a basic 36 hour week.
