RSW are seeking reliable and dedicated Van Driver’s for our client based within the Bridgend area.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, effective communication skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate a van to deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner.
- Load and unload items, ensuring that all deliveries are handled with care and precision.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including any necessary documentation.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist in the warehouse as needed, including heavy lifting and organising inventory when not on delivery routes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
