Our Client based in Bridgend are looking for Converting Operatives to join their busy and dynamic team on a full time, temp to perm basis.
Initially starting on days regular Monday to Friday for training. Progressing to a 12hr pattern of x2 days 7am to 7pm, 2 nights 7pm to 7am and 4 days off.
Every 7 sequences have 18 days paid off.
Any time worked during 18 days is overtime at x1.5
Candidates are required to complete a Drug and Alcohol Questionnaire, it is also mandatory to take a drug and alcohol test prior to testing AND PASS.
Pay rates – will start on £15.72 – as you work through training and competencies this will be reflected in pay uplifts when signed off.
Converting Operator – as a Converting Machine Operator in manufacturing, you’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining machines that convert raw materials into finished products.
- Your Responsibilities
- Adhere to health and safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work, including the use of PPE and reporting near misses.
- Ensure compliance with quality procedures to maintain product standards.
- Operate production equipment efficiently to meet daily targets, with a “fix-it-myself” approach to problem-solving.
- Conduct machine and product changeovers effectively.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the production line.
- Ensure accurate stock levels using the JDE system to support cost control, meet customer orders OTIF, and align with the production plan.
- Ensure clear and effective communication between shifts and with supervision.
- Training: Support and assist in the training of new operators.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively disseminate information to the team.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work well in a team.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
