RSW are looking for a Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the efficient and successful assembly of the production machines.

The role requires technical leadership of electrical installations in an efficient manner to ensure first of type and subsequent machines are delivered in accordance with the build programmes.

The role is a hands‑on production-based role.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for electrical installs within production of Railway plant and equipment.
  • Liaise with Design department to enable efficient production of systems.
  • Offer support, guidance and mentoring to more junior members of the team.
  • Effectively manage own time in accordance with build schedule and project priorities.
  • Be responsible for ensuring the assembly/build documentation are kept up to date during (FOT) assembly.
  • Any changes to, or new additions, of procured parts are fed back to procurement.
  • Any design changes are identified, discussed, documented and implemented with the design team.

  • HND or BEng (or similar) in a related role

  • Self‑driven with ability to learn
  • Practical experience in manufacturing and assembly environments
  • Willingness to develop
  • Yellow plant background preferred but not essential
  • Good leadership skills
  • Ability to work under tight timescales.
  • Hours of Work
  • Monday – Thursday 08.00-17.00
  • Monday- Thursday 06.00-16.15 or 07.00-17.15

Minimum 39 Hour Week before any overtime is paid.

Overtime

Time & half for hours worked Monday – Saturday.

Double time for hours worked Sunday.
