Location: A Chartered Accountants located towards North East Kent, commutable from Maidstone, is looking for a new Senior Manager to join the practice, keep the business growing and to demonstrate why they should be the next Director.

Overview: You’ll take ownership of client relationships, oversee and review the work of the team, stay involved in technical accountancy work, and play a key role in staff development, internal operations, and the growth of the firm. It’s a varied and rewarding role with scope to have a meaningful impact on the business.

Starting Salary: Starting salary is dependent on experience and qualifications, due to increase with equity if successful.

Duties:

  • Act as primary contact for a varied portfolio of clients
  • Provide proactive advice on tax planning, compliance, and business strategy
  • Review work prepared by junior staff, including accounts, VAT returns, and tax computations
  • Mentor, train, and support junior team members in their technical and professional development
  • Prepare or support with year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, and management accounts
  • Assist with workflow management, deadlines, and resource planning
  • Spot opportunities for cross-selling or new business
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK tax/accounting legislation
  • Represent the firm professionally in meetings, networking events, or client referrals
  • Ensure the firm adheres to AML, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements

What we’re looking for: A successful application for this position will have circa 8+ years experience in UK accountancy practice and be qualified in either ACA, ACCA or similar.
