This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Administrator to join the finance team of one of our well-known clients. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with numbers, and take pride in delivering accurate financial administration, we'd love to hear from you. You'll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring supplier invoices, payments and finance processes are completed accurately and efficiently while building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

What you will be doing as the Accounts Payable Administrator:

  • Process supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring accurate matching, reconciliation and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Verify and process invoices in line with HMRC regulations, maintaining accurate and compliant financial records.
  • Respond to supplier and internal finance queries, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts, investigate outstanding balances and support the reduction of overdue payments.
  • Manage suspense accounts and debit balances, resolving unallocated transactions.
  • Support finance workflows and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Build positive relationships with internal departments and external service partners.
  • Provide general finance administration and support on ad-hoc projects as required.

About you:

  • At least 1 year's experience within Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger, Finance or Procurement.
  • Experience processing invoices and reconciling supplier accounts.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to develop your career within finance.
