Semi-Senior Accountant in Oldham

We are looking for an Accounts Semi Senior to join our Client in their established and growing Accountancy Practice. This is a great opportunity for an experienced practice professional to join a sociable and hardworking team within a modern working environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparing and reviewing quarterly VAT returns
• Assisting with corporation tax computations and returns
• Preparing self-assessment tax returns
• Supporting clients with their day-to-day accounting requirements
• Assisting with the development and improvement of financial processes
• Keeping up to date with accounting regulations and best practice
• Building strong relationships with clients and providing a high level of service

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of clients
• Good knowledge of accounting and financial reporting processes
• Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• AAT, or working towards a relevant accountancy qualification, would be advantageous
