We are pleased to be partnering with a long standing manufacturer based in Rochdale that are looking to onboard a Quality Control Administrator. This role is ideal for someone who wants to get into a business that rewards hard work with excellent internal progression opportunities.

Overview

Responsible for final inspection of finished products before despatch, ensuring all items meet specifications and customer requirements. Working alongside the Quality Engineer to support all quality systems, non-conformance management and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect finished products against completed job cards, quantities, labelling & design codes
  • Cross check inspection against customer provided specs
  • Verify colours, coatings, and compound specs
  • Monitor quality & non conformance
  • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) & customer complaints
  • Managing retained samples, including: collection, testing recording & filing
  • Issue quality alerts for issues requiring immediate escalation

Documentation & Data:

  • Calculating & reporting data
  • Preparing certificates of analysis (CofAs)

Cross-Function Working:

  • Covering audits, PFMEA updates, and NCR Management
  • Assisting with audit preparation & quality documentation for new and repeat orders

Candidate Spec:

  • Strong attention to detail, able to identify subtle defects in products and documentation
  • Able to read technical drawings, and product specifications
  • Competent with basic measurement instruments (Rulers/gauges)
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Able to manage time & prioritise across multiple daily tasks

Desirable skills:

  • Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with NCR systems and quality management documentation
  • Experience with inks, coatings, films or rubber materials
  • Awareness of ISO 9001 or equivalent management systems

Package:

  • £27250 P/A
  • £30 per major fault found
  • £10 per minor defect found
