We have an excellent opportunity with one of our clients based in Manchester. They are looking to bring a Legal Counsel into the business and start to drive the very real growth plans internally through expansion. This role will give you direct C-suite access, dealing with the CEO and CFO on all things legal, giving you the opportunity to have strategic control over the legal function end to end. This is a stand alone legal role, so it will require someone who is used to managing processes quickly, efficiently and maximizing commercial value. Legal Counsel β The Job: Ensuring legal compliance whilst maintaining the commercial interests of the Company. Oversight of the reviewing, drafting and negotiation of a variety of commercial contracts including supplier agreements, licensing agreements, distribution agreements and facing terms and conditions. Ensuring commercial contracts comply with applicable legal agreements and company policies Manage dispute resolution and litigation and represent the company in court as and when necessary to ensure commercially sound and cost effective outcomes Drafting and maintaining internal and customer facing policies, terms and conditions and precedent documents as and when required. Protecting and enforcing the groups intellectual property rights Researching and maintaining awareness of legal requirements for the Group in a range of areas such as data protection, IP, advertising, employment, regulatory and corporate governance. Advise internally across the Group on commercial, advertising and marketing, IP, privacy and data protection, B2C and ad-hoc legal queries in relation to risk Creating guidance and training materials for the other teams in the business Legal Counsel β The Person: Qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate with over six years PQE or equivalent Solid experience within commercial and dispute resolution Positive and enthusiastic and be able to communicate legal issues in a straightforward way Robust and effective influencer on the senior management team Commercial and flexible in your approach and used to working in a fast-paced environment Capable of effectively managing and prioritising a large and variable workload You will be responsible for keeping up to date on new areas of law, advising the CEO and Directors accordingly and acquire new skills as needed Experience in private practice and in-house environments Legal Counsel β The Package: Annual Salary ranging from c Β£70,000 β Β£100,000 doe Annual Performance related Bonus / Profit Share and Salary Review Flexible working options 25 days Holidays and Bank Holidays Group Staff Discounts Retail / Life Style and Health Benefits and Discounts If you are open to new opportunities, please apply or send an email through to me β Cody@rsnwltd.com
