A well-established, international manufacturing business is seeking a proactive Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator to join its West Midlands operation. This is a key role supporting the HSE Manager to ensure a safe, compliant and continuously improving working environment across the site. You will play a central role in maintaining and improving site-wide health, safety and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and internal management systems.
H&S Coordinator – Responsibilities:
- Supporting the implementation of HSE policy and procedures across site
- Assisting with risk assessments for new and existing processes
- Preparing and updating safe systems of work
- Investigating incidents and supporting corrective actions
- Ensuring COSHH assessments and SDS documentation are maintained
- Conducting PPE and equipment safety checks
- Supporting contractor control processes and site H&S documentation
- Assisting with audits and Integrated Management System compliance
- Monitoring HSE performance metrics and dashboards
- Advising managers on hazards, controls and safe working practices
- Keeping up to date with HSE legislation and regulatory changes
You will work closely with operational teams to drive a positive safety culture and achieve zero non-conformities.
H&S Coordinator – About You:
- Experienced in a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
- Confident conducting risk assessments and COSHH assessments
- Familiar with ISO / Integrated Management Systems
- Comfortable engaging with managers and shop-floor teams
- Organised, detail-focused and proactive
- Committed to maintaining high standards of HSE compliance
- A relevant Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent) would be advantageous.
