WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF HSE Co-Ordinator
- To assist the health, Safety & Environmental Manager to adhere to company’s procedures to ensure a safe and legal working environment for all employees.
- Assist & advise & report to the HSE manager regarding policy and procedures to ensure policies are effectively applied.
- Auditing effectiveness of procedures and advising/effecting any necessary changes, aswel as work equipment and PEE safety checks by ensuring compliance at all times.
- Conducting risk assessments on all new processes introduced into the workplace and prepare any new H&S actions arising from Risk assessments.
- Review COSSH assessments on all new processes introduced into the workplace and prepare any new H&S actions arising from from these
- Co-ordination of safe activities, procedures and policies and disseminate regularly.
- Oversee contractors on-site process systems and ensure all contractors have the correct H&S documentation and qualifications prior to entrance.
- Conducting Investigations of accidents and dangerous occurrences and implement means of preventing re-occurance.
- Obtain and update all H&S datasheets for products and materials used in the workplace.
- Keep up to date with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and assist with compliance.
- Advise on maintaining satisfactory standard in Health, Safety & Environmental matters.
- Advise line managers as necessary of any specific hazards, containment and disposal/handling of chemicals employed in the manufacture or products of processes.
- Support integrated management system by ensuring all defined policies, processes and procedures and work instructions are accurately applied and actioned.
- Be fully aware of company policies and procedures and work within guidelines as stated.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT AS HSE Co-Ordinator
- Annual Salary of £36,645 pa + Shift Allowance of 32% – Totaling £48,371 per annum
- Working Hours – 10:00pm/6:00am – Monday to Friday
