We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our Client who import/export goods on a global scale. This role will be to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while supporting the wider business including ensuring the smooth running of the office on a daily basis.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Working closely with external accountants
  • Managing short- and long-term cashflow forecasts and annual budgets
  • Producing weekly and monthly financial reports
  • Managing Sales & Purchase Ledger, credit control and payment runs
  • Processing payroll and related submissions
  • Completing bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
  • Producing accounts up to trial balance and submitting VAT returns
  • Acting as the main point of contact for HMRC and other external bodies
  • Supporting office administration, basic HR and operational tasks
  • Providing direct support to the Managing Director

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a similar Finance Manager / Office Manager role
  • Strong accounting and bookkeeping knowledge
  • High proficiency in Excel and accounting software
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Positive, flexible and hands-on approach
