The Role

We are seeking a Head Office-based Stock Control Assistant to support the Stock Control Manager and Loss Prevention Team. The role is multi-faceted, offering hands-on experience across stock management, reporting, and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring stock is accurately valued and recorded across company systems
  • Maintaining inventory accuracy across stores, warehouses, and online channels
  • Supporting loss prevention initiatives to minimise stock and cash loss

This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role suited to someone methodical, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock takes & Inventory Management
    • Assist with stock take processes, documentation, and reporting
    • Coordinate store and warehouse stock reconciliations
    • Process stock adjustments, returns, and store closures
    • Resolve stock and online order queries
  • Loss Prevention & Compliance
    • Collate and review stock counts to support loss prevention initiatives
    • Monitor compliance with store refund policies
    • Manage security equipment and support audit of security processes
    • Assist with insurance claims and related documentation
  • Reporting & Accounting Support
    • Support month-end and year-end stock reporting
    • Provide information for audits and financial reconciliations
  • Ad hoc Projects
    • Assist with system upgrades and new system implementations
    • Provide support across Stock Control and Loss Prevention as required

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
