Our client is looking for someone to join their forward-thinking energy management company, dedicated to driving sustainable solutions for a better future. They are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable (AP) Team Leader to play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supervise and lead the Accounts Payable team
- Oversee daily operations: invoice processing, payment runs, supplier queries, reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and relevant regulations
- Monitor AP metrics, resolve issues, and implement process improvements
- Support month-end close and provide reports to the Finance Manager
- Liaise with procurement, vendors, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies
- Assist with audits and year-end reporting as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position
- Strong knowledge of AP processes, systems, and controls
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- A team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA part-qualified, or equivalent) desirable
